Been thinking it might be time to upgrade your Zune? Well, the about-to-be released Zune HD is definitely worth considering. Why? Because it will have web browsing capabilities powered by Microsoft’s “Bing”!!

Looks pretty cool, doesn’t it? Having a browser will mean that downloads for Zune can be accessed directly - no need to go to our PC’s first! What Zune has to say about the new Zune HD:

• Zune HD will include a full-screen Internet browser optimized for multitouch functionality.
• Zune HD is Wi-Fi enabled, allowing for instant streaming to the device from the more than 5 million-track Zune music store.

It will also have a touch screen,  and ten hours of HD video storage!! The Wowzune team reckon this will be a major step forward in functionality and makes takes the Zune into the 21st century! Whenever a music artist puts out a new album, there is the chance that there will be a free MP3 on offer to promote it. We have posted about some of these on WowZune in the past. And as we all like to follow the latest news on our fav bands etc, its easy enough to grab these while they are available (often for only a very short time)

What is more difficult, is to knowing when other free MP3s that we might like, get offered. That’s when its handy to have a list of sites that specialize in offering free MP3s that mean free music for our Zunes.

We posted about one last week. And DLTunes is another one. Again, they just want us to join their site - and this just takes our email address. In return we get 10 free MP3s to download. AND, you can check if its your kind of music, first - as they publish their current list for us to see before we decide to sign up. Artists in the current list include: Kurd Maverick, Patrick la Funk, Martin Heyder, Gold Ryan & Tapesh, Norman Zube, Lars Sommerfeld and others.

Although Wowzune has previewed Zune games, our specialty is exploring all the ways we can get and watch free Zune movies, free Zune TV shows and free Zune music. All the same, we are all keen about Zune games as well - especially free ones!

There are sites that specialize in providing Zune games (see below). Before we refer you to them, however, some background info will help. First up, you need to be aware of what is involved in downloading games to Zune. Its fairly straight forward, but its not something everyone will want to try.

Go to one of the sites (see list below) that have a list of Zune games (most a free but some are not, so do check). Download the game you want to your computer. Then its just three easy steps to play the game:

1) connect your Zune to your computer. Log into your Zune software and

2) select “Settings”,  then “Device”, then “Device Update”

3) Click on “Install Games” and select the games you have downloaded.

Once the installation is complete you will be able to play the games you downloaded for your Zune.

You can find a stack of free Zune games already organized and ready to download from Zuneclan otherwise, you can browse through bigger sites like Zune Rama and Zune Boards.
