Soundclick is a fantastic site where over 300K songs are made available to us for free though “creative commons” license. This is a license that a musician can choose to distribute his music. They still have ownership rights - but we can download their music for free and other musicians can use the music as a base for their own creative endeavors.

We do have to join Soundclick to download the music - but membership is free! The music has been organized by genre - (from the drop “license”menu, select “creative commons) and there are 17 genres with, for example, 2,672 Latin music creative commons licenses and 31,392 rock music creative commons licenses - here is an example:
